Description
Microsoft is hiring a Senior Cloud Hardware Engineer to scale Azure’s fault self-healing and failure-prediction systems. The role builds telemetry pipelines, prediction services, decision logic, automated repair workflows, production AI agents, developer tools, and monitoring systems that safely remediate hardware failures across millions of nodes. Candidates need extensive production software and distributed-systems experience, programming skills in Python, C#, C++, or Rust, production AI/ML capabilities, and experience with LLM application patterns and safe infrastructure automation. The role requires a relevant engineering degree and 3–5+ years of technical engineering experience depending on the degree, along with Microsoft security screening.
