Description
The client is hiring a remote Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across a highly regulated AWS cloud environment handling sensitive healthcare data. The role covers securing applications, infrastructure, and workloads; establishing guardrails, automation, detection, and secure-by-default standards; partnering with engineering and security operations teams; and leading technical escalations. Required experience includes 5–7+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related areas, 3+ years of AWS security engineering in compliance-driven environments, and expertise across AWS services, Terraform or CloudFormation, policy-as-code, CI/CD security, compliance frameworks, incident response, cloud detection, vulnerability management, Linux hardening, and scripting. The salary range is 120–150k.
