Description

NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Optical Process Engineer for its Networking IC Co-Packaged Optics Engineering team. The role supports end-to-end assembly readiness for CPO products at NVIDIA manufacturing partners, collaborates with RnD, product engineering, operations, and semiconductor vendors, monitors yield and NPI production-line efficiency, improves product quality and equipment stability, and provides onsite engineering support for process or equipment issues. Candidates need a BS/MS in a relevant engineering or materials science field, at least five years of relevant experience, hands-on optical alignment and process-debug experience, and proficiency with SPC, Six Sigma, quality control, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least five years of experience in mass production, optical alignment process development, and data processing and analysis
Hands-on debugging experience with strong problem-solving ability
Experience working with OSAT in a volume manufacturing environment and a background in the semiconductor or optical communication industry
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of flip-chip packaging, multi-chip modules, hybrid bonding, optical connector assembly, and optical connector-to-chip attachment
Hands-on experience working with machines and optimizing process recipes
Knowledge of design for manufacturing, FMEA, and failure analysis methodologies
Knowledge of yield analysis and process cycle-time reduction methodologies
