Description
The IP DRG Coding Specialist transforms medical diagnoses and procedures into ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, reviews patient records, assigns DRGs, collaborates with clinical staff, meets turnaround and quality targets, and participates in QA and team meetings. The role requires at least two years of IP DRG coding experience, mandatory CIC, CCS, and CPC certifications, a graduate degree, and strong communication and analytical skills; MS Office, coding software, and EMR familiarity are preferred.
