BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Combat Systems Engineer for its Warship Technical Authority in Portsmouth Naval Base and Portsmouth Broad Oak on a hybrid 3/4-day on-site pattern. The role provides combat systems engineering support across naval platforms, including combat management systems, sensors, effectors, networks, and weapons systems, and covers design change, technical assurance, obsolescence management, safety cases, certification submissions, investigations, and integration analysis. Candidates need knowledge of UK naval domains, combat systems, electrical engineering or munitions, defence and maritime standards, and an engineering lifecycle; a degree in systems, combat systems, electrical engineering, or a related discipline is required, with a commitment toward Chartered Engineer status.
