Q-CTRL is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Boulder Opal team to lead the design and evolution of a compiler that translates pulse-level quantum programs into controller instructions. The role involves compiler infrastructure, intermediate representations, optimization passes, code generation, a Python DSL, high-performance Python and C++ software, quantum-hardware validation, and technical leadership. Candidates should have strong compiler and systems-programming expertise, including LLVM and MLIR experience; quantum-control, qubit-characterization, RF, instrumentation, and FPGA experience are advantageous. The base salary is targeted at $150,000–$225,000, with potential bonuses, equity, and other compensation.
