Augmodo is hiring a tenured Computer Vision Engineer to serve as a technical thought leader and bridge advanced research with production engineering in complex retail environments. The role splits roughly 50% between hypothesis-driven R&D and evidence-based analysis and 50% between implementation, model optimization, and edge deployment. Responsibilities include developing deep learning, computer vision, and vision-language models; optimizing neural network inference with TensorRT and CUDA; deploying ML pipelines with Docker; and using AI-assisted workflows. The position requires 8+ years of industry experience, strong academic research experience, and expertise in PyTorch, VLMs, CUDA, C++, Python, and image registration.
