Description

Qualcomm is seeking a Computer Vision and Computer Graphics Engineer to research and develop deep learning architectures and models for AI-enabled camera and extended reality applications. The role involves face analytics, facial expression recognition, face synthesis, 3D face reconstruction, and related computer vision and graphics work, with responsibilities spanning algorithm development, model integration into camera systems, and performance optimization for embedded devices. Candidates need a relevant master's, bachelor's, or PhD degree, several years of hardware, software, or systems engineering experience, and strong expertise in computer vision or computer graphics, deep learning frameworks, Python or C/C++, and academic publications.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant hardware, software, or systems engineering experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of professional experience in computer deep learning software development for computer vision or computer graphics applications.
5+ years of experience developing practical deep learning algorithms using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or other deep learning frameworks.
Experience in deep learning-based high-resolution face editing.
Experience in face analytics, including attributes and accessories.
Experience with vision language models.
Experience in data synthesis.
Experience with deep learning model pruning, compression, and quantization for edge devices.
Experience designing computer vision algorithms and integrating machine learning algorithms into camera systems.
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Excellent C++ and object-oriented programming knowledge, with the ability to design robust, high-performance, and flexible system software.
Expertise in DiT, U-Nets, ResNets, transformers, and diffusion models.
Experience in deep learning-based high-resolution face editing.
Experience in face analytics, including attributes and accessories.
Experience with vision language models.
Experience in data synthesis.
Experience with deep learning model pruning, compression, and quantization for edge devices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Track record of driving ideas from design through commercialization.
Experience designing computer vision algorithms and integrating machine learning algorithms into camera systems.
Self-motivated and interested in learning new technologies, designing novel techniques, and proposing them for commercialization.
Team player.
