Description
The Construction Inspector performs daily field inspections of construction projects, including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and related disciplines. The role involves reading construction drawings and specifications, conducting visual and physical inspections and field testing, documenting nonconformances, preparing inspection reports, communicating findings to project managers and engineers, coordinating testing activities, maintaining equipment calibration, and leading lower-level inspectors. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 4–6 years of construction inspection experience, a valid driver’s license, successful completion of internal safety certifications, and multiple NICET, ICC, AWS, ASNT, and other construction-testing certifications.
