Marqeta is hiring a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join its Commercial Legal Team and advise the Revenue, Product, Finance, sales, partnership, procurement, compliance, and finance teams on commercial contracts for Marqeta and its EU/UK subsidiaries. The role focuses on negotiating complex cross-border agreements, resolving contractual issues, developing templates and playbooks, and providing practical risk-based legal advice. It is based in Marqeta’s London office in Holborn two days per week and requires 4–7 years of in-house or law-firm experience, including at least 2 years in payments, fintech, or financial services, along with contract drafting and negotiation experience and knowledge of relevant financial-services regulations.
