Description

Intel is hiring a CPU Performance Architect to define and drive end-to-end CPU microarchitecture specifications, explore novel microarchitectures, model performance and power characteristics, and resolve bottlenecks across high-performance and low-power CPU products. The role requires extensive experience in high-performance CPU design, cycle-accurate C++ simulation, microarchitecture debugging, and performance modeling, with a hybrid work model across several United States locations.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master's degree with 10+ years of experience, or a PhD with a dissertation in a general CPU performance domain and 6+ years of experience in a high-performance, high-frequency ARM or x86 CPU performance team
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of experience with a master's degree, or 6+ years of experience with a PhD in a general CPU performance domain
8+ years of continuous work with cycle-accurate C++ CPU performance simulators
Experience designing high-performance CPUs and expertise in at least one CPU domain
Experience debugging microarchitecture and simulation issues
Preferred Qualifications: CPU microarchitecture background and cycle-accurate performance simulator modeling
Microarchitecture exploration and IPC feature identification
