Google Cloud is hiring a Customer Engineer to partner with technical sales teams and serve as a hybrid-cloud subject matter expert for startups and scaleups. The role involves qualifying cloud opportunities, educating customers, developing cloud solutions and architectures, leading proof-of-concepts, troubleshooting technical issues, and presenting Google Cloud Platform solutions. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and six years of experience in architectural design, platform engineering, virtualization, containers, application security, or networking, along with experience presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders. Preferred experience includes the startup ecosystem, cloud computing consulting, and cloud-native software architecture. The role is based in Berlin or Munich, Germany, with a stated base salary of €112,000–€114,000 plus a bonus target, equity, and benefits.
