Description
9th Way Insignia is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise program. The role engineers and assesses security capabilities across identity, devices, networks, applications, data, and cloud platforms; translates NIST, FISMA, RMF, FedRAMP, and agency requirements into technical controls; supports authorization activities; analyzes vulnerabilities and control gaps; and advises architects, engineers, system owners, and leadership on security design and risk treatment. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant technical experience, at least seven years of cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or security assessment experience, and familiarity with Zero Trust and cloud, hybrid, or on-premises environments. The salary range is $98,135–$125,000 USD, and the position is contingent upon contract award.
