Description
Schnabel is hiring a Senior Dam Safety Engineer for its Greensboro, North Carolina office, with the position available remotely. The role leads and supports interdisciplinary infrastructure projects involving dam safety, geotechnical and geologic investigations, instrumentation, laboratory testing, soil and rock mechanics, foundation and embankment design, seepage, slope stability, seismic analysis, value engineering, and forensic studies. The engineer will prepare technical reports, communicate with clients and regulators, coordinate project resources, mentor junior engineers, and occasionally travel to project sites. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in geotechnical or civil engineering or a related field, at least 20 years of dam safety engineering experience, and licensure as a Professional Engineer or the ability to become registered within six months. Compensation is $180,000 to $215,000.
