The employer is hiring a senior Data Engineer in Salzburg for an on-site or hybrid full-time role starting immediately. The position focuses on designing, building, and migrating modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and other Azure technologies; developing and optimizing data pipelines, models, and lakehouse architectures; modernizing reporting and analytics with Power BI; implementing data governance with Microsoft Purview; and independently delivering customer projects through technical consulting and stakeholder coordination. The role requires relevant data engineering, BI development, or comparable project experience, practical Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Stack knowledge, Power BI knowledge, strong German language skills, and the ability to work independently. The salary is from €65,000 all-in, with flexible working hours and an attractive home-office arrangement.
