Description
The Senior Data Engineer will provide development, operational support, and continuous improvement for the Government of Alberta Data Management Platform's enterprise integration environment. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and modernizing Talend-based ETL/ELT integrations, APIs, data mappings, and reusable components; supporting production releases, platform upgrades, incident resolution, and platform health; and using AI-assisted development tools. The position is remote from Canada, may require 3–4 or more on-site meetings per fiscal month in Edmonton, and requires a university degree or equivalent education plus 5+ years of hands-on Talend data integration experience.
