The role focuses on designing and building scalable data architectures, pipelines, data warehouses, and AI-native data infrastructure for heterogeneous biological data, while collaborating with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and other cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include data ingestion and transformation, governance, documentation, and mentoring data engineers. The position requires a related bachelor's or master's degree, at least seven years of programming experience, at least five years as a Data Engineer, and extensive experience with data orchestration, warehousing, ETL, databases, cloud environments, and large complex datasets.
