Kohort is hiring a Senior Software Developer with a data engineering focus to build and maintain reliable, scalable pipelines and backend systems for petabyte-scale gaming data. The role covers data ingestion, transformation, validation, monitoring, observability, performance optimization, systems design, and collaboration with data scientists, product managers, and other developers. It is a full-time, remote-first position based in Cape Town with access to in-office collaboration and company-wide gatherings, requiring at least five years of production-systems experience and expertise in Python, data pipelines, Polars, SQL, data modeling, and cloud platforms.
