Description

Mobile Wave Solutions is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build a greenfield analytical data platform and AI data layer on modern cloud infrastructure. The role owns retrieval, embeddings, vector storage, ELT/CDC pipelines, dimensional and semantic modeling, orchestration, CI/CD, data governance, and observability for internal AI agents and customer-facing predictive and prescriptive insights. It requires at least six years of data engineering experience, including an end-to-end greenfield warehouse or platform build, along with expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, dbt, cloud data warehouses, and LLM/AI data systems.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of data engineering experience, including at least one end-to-end greenfield warehouse or platform build
Experience building embeddings pipelines, managing vector databases, and architecting RAG data plumbing or feature stores for production AI/LLM systems
Expert SQL and deep PostgreSQL experience with major cloud data warehouses
Python experience building scalable data pipelines and integrations
ELT/ETL design using dbt and modern orchestration frameworks
Hands-on experience with modern cloud data infrastructure across major providers
Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience building data layers for production LLM agents
Experience with streaming and CDC at scale and near-real-time serving
Experience with ML feature engineering, MLOps, or cloud AI ecosystems
Experience ingesting data from backend APIs and tracking events from React or React Native clients
Background in fintech, payments, charitable giving, or the nonprofit domain
