The role focuses on Kafka and Spark pipelines, data quality and observability, data modeling, cost and latency optimization, shared infrastructure, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least five years of data engineering experience, including three years owning production pipelines in a distributed environment, along with strong Spark, Kafka, Python, SQL, and cloud experience. The position offers a US base salary of $175,000 to $221,000 annually, plus health, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
