Description
Planet is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to architect and build production, enterprise-scale data ecosystems for global monitoring products serving defense and intelligence customers. The role owns data pipelines, architecture, CI/CD, orchestration, automated QA, production integration, and technical leadership across the Data Team. It is a full-time hybrid position requiring three days per week at either the Washington DC or Denver, Colorado office, with an application deadline of October 1, 2026. The role requires 10+ years of data engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree, Python and SQL expertise, cloud-native architecture experience, and knowledge of geospatial or satellite concepts.
