Description

Rho is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale data products for its commercial banking technology. The role focuses on designing reliable, scalable pipelines and datasets, developing reusable ML-powered systems such as OCR, transaction-coding, RAG, and agentic tools, and establishing quality, monitoring, and SLAs. The engineer will partner with stakeholders, collaborate with analytics teams, and expand Rho’s data-product catalog. The position requires 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or DevOps, along with expertise in Python, Go, SQL, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and workflow orchestrators. It offers a hybrid work environment with an old town Belgrade office.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or DevOps
Experience with major data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or in-house HDFS-based solutions
Experience building data infrastructure using GCP, AWS, or comparable cloud providers
Experience managing and deploying services on Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform or Pulumi for automating infrastructure
Advanced programming abilities in Python and Go, along with strong SQL skills
Experience building, owning, and iterating on data products or data pipelines based on consumer feedback
Experience designing systems for reuse across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications: Experience building a data platform or data product suite from the ground up
Experience integrating or deploying ML models into production systems
Experience with RAG systems and vector databases
Familiarity with ML infrastructure tooling such as MLflow
Experience building or deploying agents
Experience with data modeling and data product approaches
Experience working with streaming data systems
Familiarity with Prometheus or other time-series databases used for monitoring
