Skalar is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to build its greenfield data foundation, including a data warehouse, resilient ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance, quality checks, and security protocols for financial and employee data. The role involves architecting data infrastructure, selecting cloud and orchestration technologies, and potentially hiring and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least five years of data engineering experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, expert SQL and Python skills, experience with third-party APIs and asynchronous data fetching, and familiarity with agent frameworks and RAG pipelines. The position is based in Germany and offers above-market compensation plus equity.
