Description

Spenn Group is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join its Product & Tech team at its office in Oslo. The role owns the end-to-end data platform that powers analytics, reporting, dashboards, experimentation, and customer experiences, including Snowflake, data modeling, dbt, ELT/ETL pipelines, data quality, governance, and technical leadership. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent practical experience, several years of professional data engineering experience, strong SQL and dbt skills, cloud data-warehouse experience, Python, and full professional proficiency in Norwegian and English.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Several years of professional data engineering experience, with the ability to independently own the data platform and set standards.
Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
Strong proficiency with SQL and dbt or a similar transformation framework.
Experience building and orchestrating ELT/ETL pipelines.
Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing best practices.
Programming skills, such as Python, for data tooling and automation.
Active use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot to improve efficiency.
Full professional proficiency in Norwegian and English; Danish or Swedish is also acceptable.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and BI tools.
Experience in fintech, loyalty, or other data-privacy-sensitive domains.
Experience in fintech or other regulated environments.
