The Baltimore Banner is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to scale and mature its cloud-based data platform while integrating the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The role focuses on building AWS batch and near-real-time pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data lakes and lakehouse architectures, data governance, quality, observability, and reliable reporting for editorial, subscriptions, advertising, finance, and other business areas. Candidates need 10+ years of data engineering or related experience, strong AWS and SQL skills, and experience with data platforms, BI tools, and complex operational data sources. The salary range is $150,000-$170,000, with medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA/HSA, and family coverage.
