Description
The Senior Data Engineer, Admissions Transformation Project (ATP) will design, build, and support large-scale data pipelines and a high-performance data platform for UNSW’s enterprise data office. The role leads data platform architecture and strategy, develops ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, and deployment solutions, supports admissions dashboards and reports, and mentors the broader analytics and data team. It is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position in Kensington, NSW, with some work-from-home flexibility, paying $132,445 plus 17% superannuation. The role requires at least five years of data engineering experience, strong Microsoft Azure and Databricks expertise, and knowledge of data modelling, SQL, Python/PySpark, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and higher-education data frameworks.
