Amazon is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for its AWS Analytics Engineering organization in Seattle, Washington. The role owns 3–5 data domains end-to-end, operates hundreds of pipelines, defines data and infrastructure architecture, builds ingestion and analytical models, improves data processing practices, and mentors engineers. Candidates need 7+ years of data engineering experience, SQL, ETL, data modeling, warehousing, distributed systems, and modern scripting experience, with preferred expertise in AWS EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, LLMs, and agentic frameworks. The position offers a base salary of 154,600–209,100 USD annually plus sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and comprehensive benefits.
