Keyrus is hiring a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to design, build, operationalise and hand over secure, scalable, governed cloud data platforms for clients. The role covers data ingestion, transformation, quality, reconciliation, metadata and lineage, security, observability, migration, responsible AI foundations, and technical leadership across discovery, delivery, reviews, proposals and client handovers. It is a full-time hybrid or client-site role in South Africa requiring seven or more years of data engineering or data-platform experience, including three or more years delivering production-grade cloud solutions.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Relevant degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science or a similar field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Seven or more years of data engineering or data-platform experience, including three or more years delivering production-grade cloud solutions.
Experience delivering ingestion, transformation, orchestration and source-system synchronization.
Experience profiling, cleansing and reconciling large or messy datasets.
Experience with metadata, catalogue and lineage tools.
Technical leadership, client engagement and clean handovers.
Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft, Databricks, cloud architecture or data-engineering certifications.
Microsoft Fabric, Delta Lake and medallion architecture.
Microsoft Purview or similar governance and lineage tools.
Data-quality frameworks such as Great Expectations, Soda or dbt tests.
Infrastructure as code with Bicep, Terraform or equivalent.
Power BI semantic models and reporting-ready data products.
SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and PowerShell in legacy or hybrid settings.
API integration, event-driven or streaming architectures.
Large-scale migration, reconciliation and cutover support.
Experience in regulated data domains such as customer, billing or banking.
