The role supports an API serving approximately 5 million requests per day from databases distributed across 182 servers and involves PostgreSQL maintenance at high transaction rates, custom extensions in C, SQL, and PL/pgSQL, data pipelines using C, Go, Ruby, SQL, and PL/pgSQL, and query development and optimization. Candidates should have proven experience with high-transaction PostgreSQL databases and familiarity with Go or Python, infrastructure management tools such as Ansible, Git, observability tools, C, and research.
