Description
The State of Nebraska has a 100% remote, contract opening for a Senior Data Engineer/Scala Developer (66129) supporting the enterprise data processing framework for Medicaid Encounter Processing and enterprise data ingestion. The role is the primary technical owner for a Scala, Apache Spark, Hive, Drools, and Cloudera Data Platform application, with responsibility for development, production support, defect resolution, releases, performance tuning, operational administration, monitoring, documentation, and business-rule maintenance. The engagement is up to 12 months with possible extension and requires at least seven years of enterprise-scale distributed data-processing experience; applicants must be United States citizens or Green Card holders.
