FieldAI is hiring a Data Platform Engineer in Irvine to design and build scalable data platforms for large-scale multimodal robotics and machine learning datasets. The role covers ingestion, processing, validation, labeling, dataset generation, training, evaluation, metadata, lineage, data quality, versioning, observability, and reliable pipeline design, working with ML, robotics, infrastructure, and labeling teams. Candidates should have production data-platform experience, strong software engineering skills, distributed processing and workflow orchestration experience, and familiarity with data lakes, object storage, metadata systems, and technologies such as S3, Airflow/Dagster, Spark/Ray, Kubernetes, or Parquet.
