Description

QRT is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer for its DevOps team in Paris. This fully on-site role owns the architecture, reliability, performance, and scalability of production data systems, including distributed databases, Kubernetes-based clusters, infrastructure-as-code, AWS data platforms, data pipelines, security, observability, and complex troubleshooting. The engineer will also set technical standards, mentor colleagues, and influence technical decisions across engineering, data, and research teams.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years in DevOps, Data Platform Engineering, or similar, with experience owning production infrastructure at scale
Deep production experience with distributed data systems, including performance tuning and architectural decision-making
Expert-level Kubernetes experience with stateful workloads, Helm, and operators
Extensive Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform and Helm
Strong knowledge of the AWS data ecosystem
Deep understanding of AWS IAM and security best practices
Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
Experience designing and operating data pipelines
Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting with Python and/or Bash
Deep understanding of database reliability, replication, backups, and failover
Preferred Qualifications: OLAP and high-throughput systems experience at scale
Experience with VAST Data or similar storage systems
Familiarity with Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi
Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
CKA/CKAD or equivalent deep Kubernetes expertise
Programming in Go, Rust, or Python
Knowledge of Parquet, Arrow, and query engines
AWS certifications
Prior experience in a technical lead or staff-level role
