GoCardless is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its Payment Intelligence team to own the full lifecycle of machine-learning models, from discovery and feature engineering through production, A/B testing, and continuous monitoring. The role focuses on real-time, mission-critical fraud prevention solutions using Python, SQL, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, and Vertex AI, while collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams and contributing to technical leadership and innovation. The position requires a STEM degree or equivalent commercial experience, hands-on experience with advanced architectures, and strong communication and code-quality skills; the base salary range is €55,200–€82,800.
