Microsoft is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for its XBOX Growth Intelligence team to lead ecosystem-level analyses across XBOX, Game Pass, Console, PC, and Store experiences. The role applies econometric, statistical, causal inference, experimentation, forecasting, and machine-learning methods to inform C-level investment decisions, measure ROI, build reusable analytical products, and mentor team members. Candidates need a relevant doctorate with at least one year of data-science experience, or a master's degree with at least three years, or a bachelor's degree with at least five years, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include SQL, Python or R, agentic AI tools, experimentation and machine-learning experience, and executive communication skills. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
