Taboola is hiring a Data Scientist for its R&D team in Downtown Los Angeles to build and maintain recommendation, ranking, and personalization algorithms for its performance advertising platform. The role owns end-to-end machine learning systems, including model design, production deployment, evaluation harnesses, automated testing, and large-scale distributed data processing on Hadoop and Spark. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s or advanced degree, at least five years of Python and Java experience, ML framework and SQL proficiency, and experience with recommendation systems and real-time machine learning. The position offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and a base salary of $138,500 to $185,000 USD.
