The New York Mets are hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Baseball Analytics to build, test, and present statistical models that support decision-making across Baseball Operations. The role involves interpreting data, communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences, advising data engineering and systems teams, evaluating data sources and technologies, researching analytics, and mentoring analysts. Candidates need a Ph.D. in statistics or a related field or equivalent professional experience, strong statistical and programming skills, SQL proficiency, and strong communication abilities.
