Description

Fanatics Commerce is hiring a Senior Data Scientist, Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization to improve supply chain efficiency and inventory financial performance through machine learning, pricing optimization, demand forecasting, clearance management, network simulation, and inventory allocation. The role owns the full model development lifecycle, develops production models across forecasting, classification, regression, clustering, and segmentation, and partners with engineering, product, and operations teams. It is based in Redwood City, California, with a hybrid schedule and a base salary of $170,000–$210,000 USD.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of experience building and deploying predictive models in a production or operational environment
Experience with Python, SQL, and Spark or another distributed computing framework
Experience applying discrete optimization techniques to pricing, clearance, or network design problems
Experience with simulation-based modeling and tradeoff analysis
Experience with feature engineering and EDA-driven insight development
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Superset or Tableau
Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain domains
Experience mentoring or guiding junior data scientists
