Vox Media is hiring a permanent, full-time Senior Data Scientist for its Subscriptions business in New York City. The role owns retention and engagement modeling, lifetime-value analysis, recommendation systems and personalization, and experimentation, with responsibility for framing problems, building datasets, modeling, shipping, and measuring outcomes. Candidates should have a track record of using data science to change business decisions, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with experiment design; subscription-business and recommender-systems experience are preferred. The position is benefits-eligible and pays $145,000–$180,000 USD in base salary.
