Description
Apple is hiring distributed systems and database engineers for its Databases SRE organization in Shanghai. The role owns the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of one of Apple's data service platforms—such as Cassandra, Kafka, Solr, Redis/Valkey, etcd, or ZooKeeper—and involves building automation and control-plane tooling, diagnosing production issues, participating in on-call and incident response, improving monitoring and capacity planning, executing large-scale deployments, contributing to open-source projects, and supporting internal platform customers. Candidates need expertise in distributed systems, databases, storage, messaging, or coordination services; depth in at least one data service technology; knowledge of SRE and distributed systems concepts; proficiency in Java, Go, or Python; and a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
