The role covers database design, stored procedures, query and execution-plan optimisation, production troubleshooting, data modelling, indexing, transactions, backups, security, and collaboration with development and database administration teams. Candidates need at least five years of database development experience, strong SQL Server and T-SQL expertise, knowledge of .NET and lightweight ORM frameworks, and experience supporting production systems.
