Blip is hiring a Senior Database Engineer to support the stability, scalability, performance, availability, and security of its distributed database estate across the United States, United Kingdom, and Portugal. The role focuses on NoSQL and SQL clustered databases, particularly Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL, and includes database administration, query and cluster tuning, monitoring, automation, infrastructure planning, troubleshooting, mentoring, and on-call support. Candidates need at least five years of database engineering experience, strong knowledge of the listed technologies, and familiarity with Linux, scripting, cloud tools, monitoring, and automation.
