Description
Google is hiring a Data Center Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical infrastructure projects from site due diligence through construction and operations. The role leads scalable high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, power supply options, onsite generation, substations, utility interfacing, electrical design, resilience, and critical studies; partners with architects and engineers; and drives cross-disciplinary coordination, safety, quality, and commissioning. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in electrical or power engineering or equivalent practical experience, five years of mission-critical facility design and construction experience, and electrical infrastructure experience. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, professional engineering license, and experience with substations, switchgear, medium- and high-voltage systems, and data center equipment.
