Description
Coherent Corp. is hiring an on-site photodiode design and development engineer in Fremont, California to design, simulate, characterize, qualify, and improve high-speed, high-sensitivity InGaAs/InP photodiodes for optical transceivers and optoelectronic applications. The role covers device and epitaxial structure design, front- and back-end wafer process development, electrical and optical testing, reliability qualification, manufacturing technology transfer, yield and manufacturability improvement, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with epitaxy, process, test, reliability, fabrication, and external manufacturing teams. A PhD in photodiode design and development or at least three years of relevant experience is required, along with optoelectronic device simulation, semiconductor processing, characterization, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
