Eaton’s Distributed IT division is hiring a Senior Design Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of Data Center Hot Aisle Containment solutions. The role covers product architecture, mechanical and sheet-metal design, 3D CAD modeling, structural and thermal analysis, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of modular containment systems. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of relevant experience for the BSME path
10+ years of relevant experience for the Associate’s degree path
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD modeling, preferably Creo or Pro E
Experience designing data center hot aisle containment systems
Experience integrating containment with racks, power, cable trays, and cooling infrastructure
Strong structural steel and sheet metal design background
Experience with building-mounted and freestanding containment systems
Knowledge of seismic, wind, and code-driven loading requirements
Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, welding, fastener selection, and manufacturing processes
Experience interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
Understanding of lean manufacturing and supplier collaboration
