Description

Nalanda is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate its AWS cloud platform. The role owns critical services and systems, develops Terraform infrastructure, improves CI/CD and GitOps workflows, troubleshoots production issues, and strengthens observability, security, reliability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization. It requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong AWS and Terraform expertise, and fluency in Spanish and English. The position offers teleworking and a gross annual salary of €40,000–€65,000.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar role
Experience with AWS, multi-account environments, cloud networking, security, and scalable infrastructure design
Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience designing and operating secure, scalable, highly available cloud platforms in production
Experience with AWS containerized environments, orchestration, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, automation scripting, and Git-based workflows
Experience operating relational databases, including high availability, failover, upgrades, and performance optimization
Experience investigating application and infrastructure issues, including Java/JVM troubleshooting and performance analysis
Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilient architecture patterns
Preferred Qualifications: Experience administering Keycloak or similar identity and access management solutions
Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB, including administration, optimization, and data modelling
Familiarity with zero-trust networking and service mesh technologies
Understanding of cloud and platform security, vulnerability management, and compliance
Knowledge of performance optimization, capacity planning, and distributed systems
Experience working across infrastructure and application teams
Exposure to backend development, particularly Java
Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
Experience with configuration management and automation tools
