Description

Sunbit is hiring an independent Senior DevOps Engineer to join its centralized DevOps team and serve as a reliability and innovation pillar for the engineering organization. The role is a 50/50 Build vs. Run position focused on CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, AWS account and multi-cluster Kubernetes management, production environment reliability, observability, and on-call platform support. The engineer will collaborate with backend teams on microservices and database performance, use AI-powered development tools, and maintain 99.9% uptime for mission-critical fintech services.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience managing high-scale production systems
Expert-level experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker
Proficiency in Terraform and at least one high-level language, including Python, Go, or Bash
Solid understanding of the DevOps aspects of MySQL/RDS and MongoDB, including scaling, backups, and performance tuning
Strong experience with monitoring and logging stacks such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AI tools and interest in applying them in everyday work
Experience with firewalls, WAF, IPS/IDS, and SELinux
Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, or data lakes
Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures
