Description

Swisscom is seeking an external Software Engineer to support an enterprise platform project, developing and maintaining Golang backend services, React and Material UI frontend components, Temporal workflows, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, databases, Kafka, and infrastructure automation. The role requires strong cloud-native, Kubernetes, DevOps, and software-development experience, fluent English, and German at B2 level; Swiss residency and on-call availability are mandatory. Home office is possible after onboarding, and there is a prospect of permanent internalization.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Software development with Golang, preferably in a cloud-native environment using frameworks such as Echo, kubebuilder, sqlc, and Temporal.
Frontend development with React and Material UI.
CI/CD, Git, GitLab Pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and Kafka.
REST APIs, GraphQL, and OpenID Connect.
Automation and deployment tools, including Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize.
Rapid onboarding into existing systems and codebases.
Preferred Qualifications: German at B2 level.
Experience with Terraform or Argo Workflows.
Knowledge of Open Service Broker APIs.
Experience with observability stacks and metrics archival using Thanos, S3 Iceberg, and Parquet.
Knowledge of SAP integrations or other billing systems.
Experience with Vault or OpenBao for secrets management.
Knowledge of search systems such as Meilisearch and Elasticsearch.
Experience with CLI development using Cobra and OCI standards.
Understanding of RBAC concepts and multitenancy architectures.
