Description

MetaPhase is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead secure, automated platform engineering for Federal mission teams. The role combines cloud and hybrid infrastructure, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, incident response, developer platforms, and DevSecOps practices. The engineer will provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor engineering teams while working in the Washington, DC metropolitan area on an on-site basis subject to customer access and mission requirements, with a hybrid schedule subject to customer direction.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: At least 10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
Hands-on experience developing secure cloud and hybrid platforms using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Docker, and automated configuration management
Experience integrating SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets management, identity controls, and infrastructure security checks into software-delivery pipelines
Preferred Qualifications: Experience delivering DevSecOps or platform engineering capabilities for cyber, intelligence, law enforcement, or other mission-critical environments
Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable regulated cloud environments, including cloud performance and cost management
Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and policy-as-code tooling
Experience creating internal developer platforms, reusable pipeline templates, and self-service infrastructure capabilities
Experience with SRE practices, including SLOs, error budgets, incident response, logging, metrics, tracing, and operational dashboards
Current TS/SCI clearance and demonstrated ability to support work in secure on-site environments
