Description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Senior DevSecOps Engineer in Springfield, Virginia to build and operate a hardened, cloud-native platform supporting an Intel customer. The role leads platform engineering, multi-cloud and on-premises infrastructure, Kubernetes and GitOps operations, CI/CD, identity and secrets management, Zero Trust hardening, infrastructure as code, and platform support. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for a CI polygraph, with 10+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years of platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevSecOps experience.
Hands-on experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production, including GitOps workflows.
Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture, identity federation, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design, Infrastructure as Code, and container image hardening or supply chain security.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community cloud environments and ATO/compliance processes.
Familiarity with Istio service mesh and Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry observability stacks.
Experience with license management and air-gap update or patch management.
Relevant CKA/CKAD, AWS/Azure, or DevSecOps certifications.
Experience supporting help desk or ITSM tooling for platform onboarding and support.
