Academy Bus is hiring a Bus Mechanic with manager skills to oversee diesel bus maintenance operations at its Atlanta facility. The role manages mechanics and cleaning staff, performs hands-on repairs and preventative maintenance, diagnoses engines and transmissions, conducts inspections and road tests, documents warranty repairs, sources vendors, and performs welding and fabrication. Candidates need at least seven years of diesel engine maintenance experience, supervisory experience, their own tools, diagnostic and testing equipment proficiency, basic computer skills, and a CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements. The position pays $33.00-$42.00 per hour and includes medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance, a 401K plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
